PolyPro FR
offers such outstanding
insulation properties and temperature resistance that it has been
widely adopted for use in electronic equipment.
PolyPro FR's combination of temperature resistance, flame retardancy,
and dielectric strength at a relatively low cost, makes it an ideal
option for insulation systems design.

|
The wide scale adoption of
PolyPro FR in electronic equipment was a natural evolution from its
initial use in power supply applications. Many companies
used Nomex 410 for their 220oC dry type transformer layer insulation
requirements, but continued to use Nomex material for a wide variety
of insulation applications in the power supply unit that did not
necessarily require a 220oC temperature rating. Soon,
companies realized the cost savings potential of PolyPro FR for
applications ranging from bus bar insulation to fuse clip insulation.
|
|
Today,
PolyPro FR is used in a wide range of power supply
applications for computer and telecommunications applications.
In addition, PolyPro FR is used in today's large computer servers by the
world's largest computer manufacturers. For a wide range of
electronic equipment, PolyPro FR offers a thin, flame retardant material
with outstanding dielectric properties for applications ranging from air baffles, to insulating enclosures for transformers, to printed
circuit board insulating gaskets.
