PolyPro FR™
was developed originally as
a replacement material for Vulcanized Fiber
materials used in outdoor mounted electrical equipment where a water
resistant dielectric material
was required. Because Vulcanized Fiber absorbs a
relatively large percentage of water, UL issued directives that water
resistant insulation materials should be used in outdoor electrical
equipment. |

PolyPro FR™ is a flame resistant polypropylene material that offers
outstanding dielectric strength, superior water resistance, and
excellent fabrication
properties.
It has been used successfully as electrical insulation material in
electrical equipment for over 30 years. OEMs across the
world have specified and approved PolyPro FR™ for electrical insulation
applications in their electrical equipment.
